Do you worry about the future of children? We, at Child Evangelism Fellowship, are doing something! We go to where kids live, and where they go to school, and give them Jesus! Your support would cover curriculum, snacks, volunteer training, and visiting clubs. One of the main pathways CEF uses to reach children beyond the church wall is Good News Club®. Good News Clubs are weekly 90-minute after-school programs for elementary-age boys and girls. The Good News Club curriculum is based on biblical principles that teach moral values, character qualities, and respect for authority. All children are welcome regardless of their religious background. During the summer months, CEF takes the Gospel to children through a Summer Good News Clubs. Summer Good News Clubs are 90 minutes long and last for 4 consecutive days. Summer Good News Clubs are held in parks, backyards, community buildings, daycares, etc. These clubs also provide a safe place for kids to be, give them the attention they need, and help them learn to make the right choices. The clubs are led by both adult and teen volunteers who have been trained by our staff and screened through a child protection service. Our teen volunteers have been greatly impacted by the leadership training camp they attend, and are, in turn, impacting many in our city.
CEF of Central Nebraska has a young and growing chapter right here in Kearney, Nebraska. Established in 2013, CEF of Central Nebraska is already providing weekly after-school programs (Good News Clubs) in 15 elementary schools. But we still want to do more! Our goal is to establish a Good News Club in all 60 elementary schools in our area. Children are the future of tomorrow, they are the next generation.  Without the foundation of a relationship with God and training in Biblical principles for life, children are unequipped to face what life will throw at them.
