Central Nebraska Quilts of Valor is a volunteer member group in good standing with the National Quilts of Valor Foundation.

In November 2019, Central Nebraska Quilts of Valor started awarding quilts at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home. In March of 2020 when COVID started, we needed to stop awarding quilts. When it was safe for both the Veterans and the volunteers, we started awarding quilts again. We award several quilts a year at the Veterans Home. This is an ongoing project to thank Veterans for their service to our country. This last year we started a program where residents could come and sew quilt tops and our group quilted the tops and when the quilts were done, the quilts are returned to the Central Nebraska Veterans Home to be awarded to one of the residents.

Nancy Klimek, the former Activity Manager at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home wrote this letter on October 6, 2020.
