The American Red Cross is there to help people affected by disasters big and small.

Central and Western Nebraska Chapter of the American Red Cross supports Kearney and Buffalo County. During Fiscal 2024 this chapter:
• Responded to 108 disasters, providing care and comfort to 338 individuals.
• Installed 249 free smoke alarms and made 79 homes safer.
• Hosted 1554 blood drives and collected more than 32,600 units of blood and blood products.
• Trained 6803 people in lifesaving skills such as first aid, CPR, and AED.
• Provided 239 services to military members, veterans, and their families.
• Supported by 150 active volunteers who are trained to provide vital care and comfort.

Funds raised during GiveWhereYouLive will be used to support Kearney and Buffalo County.
