Coach Dalton Jensen, a native of Missouri Valley, Iowa, competed for the Lopers for two seasons.  In 2011, Dalton finished 2nd in the nation.  As a senior, in 2012, Dalton became an NCAA DII National Champion and helped capture the Team National Championship.  Dalton became the head assistant in 2013, helping lead the Loper wrestling team to its third national team title.  In 2015, Dalton was promoted to Associate Head Coach and has helped guide the team to four top-5 finishes as an assistant coach. In 2016, Dalton became the head wrestling coach at the University of Nebraska Kearney.

Joining the staff in August 2016 was new Head Assistant Coach Andrew Sorensen.  Andrew, a 4-year starter and 2-time NCAA Division I National Qualifier at Iowa State University, spent two years coaching at South Dakota State University and two years at the University of Northern Iowa.  Andrew brings a wealth of wrestling knowledge and talent to the UNK Wrestling program.
