Acerca de esta organización
With the opening of the new Kearney High School, we are extremely proud of the partnerships and collaboration that went into the planning, approval, and construction of this world-class facility. The community has achieved monumental success, and we are extremely happy to put the building to work preparing our students for life.
The landmark change for Kearney High School involves more than the incredible building.
As we continue the work of implementing the State Career Fields, we are committed to continual engagement with businesses and industries in Kearney. Connecting students to the careers of their choice before high school graduation is proven to be more effective as they enter college, technical training, or the workforce.
Kearney High School anticipates each of the Career Fields will need an average of $1,500 per student for: • Dual Credit scholarships to help students at the free and reduced lunch levels to gain college/CCC credit and jumpstart the next step in their successful careers. • Specialized tools, Food Safety, Welding Certification, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certifications. • Transportation to field trips, internships, work-based experiences, UNK, etc. • CTSO travel and registrations to National Competitions for the career fields.
