The St. Teresa of Calcutta Newman Center plays a vital role in keeping young Catholics at UNK engaged with their faith and growing in knowledge of themselves and of God. Non-Catholic Christian students and those of other (or no) faiths also find a welcome to participate in a loving, caring and active community while exploring the depth and wisdom of Catholic teaching. The centerpiece of the community are the Catholic sacraments--Mass and Confession--along with prayerful Adoration, 37 different small group Bible studies, learning retreats, weekly community dinners, service opportunities, mission trips, and so many activities just for fun that students have to carve out time to study.
